Funding requests will be evaluated against the following criteria:

• How it complements Provident's interests and values and promotes goodwill and positive awareness of the company
• The extent of employee participation in the organization or program
• The extent to which the organization serves a community in which Provident has business or in which employees live
• The perceived need is compelling and does not duplicate existing services or facilities
• The number of individuals from the community at large who will benefit from the proposed project or program
• The services or activities are provided without regard to race, religion, creed, sex or sexual orientation
• The soliciting organization is financially viable, efficiently and effectively managed, is a tax registered non-profit organization, and provides a list of executives and board of directors

We do not provide funding for:

• Individuals, for-profit organizations or organizations without a tax-registered number or non-profit society number
• Trips, tours, conferences, traveling expenses or initiatives which benefit only a few people
• Advertising, film, video, television, or book promotions
• Programs of religious nature
• Political fundraisers or national lobbying organizations
• Service clubs or fraternal organizations
• Professional or technical organizations operating expenses
