Position Description:

Provident Energy has an exciting opportunity to lead the Technical Services Team at the Redwater Fractionation Facility. This position provides supervision & coordination of the work activities of the Technical Services Group with a focus on efficient, timely and cost effective results leading to improved plant availability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Manage a diverse team of professionals in the Engineering, Cavern Services, Integrity Management, and Lab QA/QC areas.

Operations Engineering

• Prioritize facility engineering activities
• Supervise the execution of engineering activities by 3rd party consulting firms
• Ensure efficient execution of the Provident Management of Change process
• Co-ordinate management of the Facility and Cavern Engineering records, drawings and technical manuals.
• Leads process optimization and de-bottlenecking efforts
• Manages development and maintenance of Plant Engineering standards
• Maintain Process Simulations for the Redwater Facility
  
  

Facility QA/QC

• Manages development and maintenance of a plant wide quality assurance program
• Lead/Supervise laboratory technicians and chemist
• Lead development/maintenance of plant-wide laboratory procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure analytical processes are executed in an efficient manner.
• Maximize reliability of all on site analysis equipment.
• Facilitate technical training as required.
  

Additional Services

• Support EH&S activities as required.
• Lead Technical Problem solving efforts
• Keep abreast of current technology to maximize plant efficiencies.
• Provide support for facility HAZOP's
• Provide Technical solutions for the incident management process.
• Provide/coordinate technical training for site personnel.

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

• Professional Engineer (Chemical or Mechanical) with a minimum of 10 years experience preferably in the Midstream segment of the Oil & Gas Business.
• Enjoys finding innovative solutions to problems, and strives for efficiency.
• Adapts well to change, and enjoys new challenges
