Gary R. Kline

Gary Kline serves as senior vice president, commercial development and risk management. Gary has executive responsibility for Provident’s integrated risk management program. He is also responsible for the management and coordination of certain commercial development initiatives including oil and gas marketing and hedging. He joined Provident in 2003.

Gary has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Before joining Provident, Gary was president of GRK Energy Consulting from 1998 to 2003. Gary has held a number of senior management positions including managing director of marketing and business development for Reliant Energy Canada from 1998 to 2002, vice president for natural gas and electricity at U.S. Generating Canada from 1996 to 1998, and manager of gas marketing at CanStates Gas Marketing from 1986 to 1996 Gary began his energy industry career as a regulatory analyst at TransCanada Pipelines in 1982.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Gary received his bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Calgary. He later received his Canadian Securities Certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute. Gary and his family reside in Calgary.
